Summary
Your expedition begins in Clarens, where you’ll meet your professional guide and board a fully equipped 4x4 SUV. We start by climbing aggressively into the Maluti Mountains via the formidable Moteng and Mahlasela Pass. High-mountain ascent. Cultural Liphofung Cave visit. Africa’s highest pub for lunch. Sani Pass descent. Overnight at a premier hotel at the base of the pass - executive mountain facing room pps sharing. A massive buffet dinner is included.
The second day starts with a "second assault" on Sani Pass, tackling the climb from the bottom up—a completely different technical experience. Once back in the Lesotho highlands, we shift our focus to the people who call this rugged landscape home.
Enjoy a guided ±5 km village walk through rural settlements, offering unfiltered insight into life in one of the most isolated regions in Southern Africa. Catered mountainside lunch. The expedition concludes with the final push back to Clarens, descending from the Roof of Africa with a new appreciation for the high-altitude frontier.
